Our Activities for the term

I- Co-curricular Activities

– Inter-House Sports Day:

It was a total display of dexterity, team work and good spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by the student athletes of PTHS as the school had its Maiden Inter-House Sports Day held in the school sports ground on Saturday 3rd of February 2018.

Gathered in their numbers were parents, guardians, teachers and invited students from other schools as the school’s participating houses – Amethyst, Beryl, Chalcedony and Lapis-Lazuli — all slot it out for sporting supremacy in a highly contested event. Congratulations to the mighty Lapis-Lazuli, who were triumphant on the day.

– Excursion:

On Friday 16th of March, junior secondary students went for an excursion to Beta Glass factory (Ugheli, Delta State). It was a valuable opportunity for them to learn first-hand and explore the different sections of the glass making process, starting from the raw material used in glass making, refining and melting of the mixed ingredients, passing through floating, cooling, testing, labeling and packaging. The fun did not end there, as students left the factory to the Delta Mall at Warri, and sat for an afternoon animation movie titled “Tad the Lost Explorer”, which addresses some inspiring morals on love, sacrifice and determination. It was definitely a memorable ‘out of class’ experience.
